Maybe, maybe not. He was committed to Ole Miss for a time, so it is more likely that he had a change of heart rather than no intention to ever play for Ole Miss.

His statement to the NCAA says very specifically that he took the money with no intention of going to OM.

Jailhouse informants aren't shining examples of virtue. It doesn't make their information wrong but let's not pretend they're anything other than someone trading that information for personal benefit.
