Wrong. No matter how much you want to debate, fight, chop, burn, defame, thread it in cloth, stamp it on your arse, stand, or don't stand to THE flag, the symbol means something to you indefinitely. I'm assuming you live in the USA so the officials that represent you; the armed forces that keep war off your door step, and the officers that protect you and your property all pledge allegiance to this symbol before they get to start any of this work for you. A symbol is that LSU next to your signature, the American flag is used by our country to establish order, law, and justice.

You can burn every flag on the planet, but the pledge still stands to it and by it. You can call it a symbol, that's fine, but it is not.
