Why cancel it when you can easily just move the game to another location?. My deepest sorrows goes to any lives lost in the storm but if you want to cancel the LSU game due to that then they need to cancel the entire week 1 of college football. Not just the LSU game. It's really not a big deal to just relocate the game.

I think in this case it may be easy to relocate the game BUT it is still a big deal. People have already made plans to come to Houston, Paid money for flights, hotels, party events, etc. It is difficult economically for many to have to buy additional tickets at the last minute to Utah or some other place.

Then you have to think of how it looks for a school like UH. Should they play a football game in San Antonio (that may also get more flooding) while many people in their city are suffering? How can they celebrate a victory while their students are repairing their lives? They could also be putting their students in harms way as some of them may try to drive to SA to go to the game. The roads may be inhabitable for many. I really think that the local schools should cancel. Why take the risk just for a football game? You can always play it later or just forget about it. Football will go on, but you cannot recover lives lost.
