How far is that from Charleston?
Rodney Scott just opened up a BBQ place in Charleston. Right got near Home Team BBQ and Lewis BBQ. Charleston is now one of the best places in the south for BBQ (couldn't be said 2-3 years ago).

The state of SC is one of, if not the, best place for bbq to begin with.
I like brisket...but if I go to a restaurant to eat that, I specifically order "brisket." However, when I go to eat bbq, I order bbq and what I get is pulled pork...not beef. I don't have to specify which it is I mean...it is automatically understood that bbq is pulled pork. That's what I don't think the ppl from Texas understand.

Meh. Rural South Carolina absolutely destroys the bbq in Charleston. Something about city people kind of kills the culture and feel of a bbq place.
The best bbq I've ever had in SC was from this restaurant in a trailer about 45 minutes NW of Columbia.
