I bought some crappy weed from a WH waitress on Christmas Eve 20 or so years ago. Gave me an awful headache.

It's funny that most Waffle House employees are such trash, because for anybody that doesn't have a college degree (or has a shitty college degree) and has any remote inkling of intelligence and ambition, Waffle House actually has a great manager training program. Seriously. I think the actual training program isn't that long, then you become a shift manager, then assistant manager. If you show any kind of aptitude for the job and leadership they say you can have your own store in about a year. Do well with the store and they have so many that they keep handing you more. About 5 years after you start you can work your way up to a regional manager over several locations and making 6 figures a year. Only problem is that until your considered a regional manager and answer directly to corporate, even a person who is a manager over more than one store has to work shifts as a cook. I think that is where a lot of people can't quite cut it. You have the type of people who are cooks and the types that are managers, and not a lot of people can handle both for years that it takes to climb the ladder and they end up moving on.
