Tuesday's Practice Report:
8/15

quote:

Alabama practiced under the lights Tuesday. The temperature outside was 78 degrees after a storm passed through the area in the early afternoon. Here are some observations from the limited access period provided to the media:
-- Freshman linebacker Dylan Moses switched his jersey number from seven to eight. With cornerback Trevon Diggs already wearing No. 7, this would allow both players to be on the field at the same time.
-- Minkah Fitzpatrick was lined up at the Star position, where he played at the beginning of last season before moving to safety after Eddie Jackson suffered a season-ending injury. Hootie Jones and Ronnie Harrison were the safeties in this nickel look.
-- Alabama's second-team offensive line consisted of Alex Leatherwood at left tackle, Dallas Warmack at left guard, J.C. Hassenauer at center, Chris Owens at right guard and Jedrick Wills at right tackle.
-- Running back Najee Harris stood off to the side early on in practice. But he was seen participating in another drill shortly thereafter. Harris, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, had a wrap on his left leg.
-- Josh Jacobs wasn't spotted. This would be the running back's third consecutive missed practice. Ronnie Clark, who is now listed as a tight end, has been included in the rep rotation for the running backs.
-- Sophomore linebacker Mack Wilson was seen shadowing senior Shaun Dion Hamilton.

If Diggs can put it together at CB we could have our best secondary since 11'

Interesting.

I wonder if this has more to do with Special Teams than defense though?
