re: With two seasons under his belt at A&M, what's the verdict on Chavis?

I find the thread premise interesting, because I'm old enough to remember A&M having memorable defenses. You might not have been quite elite overall as a team, but your defenses would beat the snot out of even top-ranked teams, physically. John Roper, Dat Nguyen, the Wrecking Crew, etc.

Call me old if you like, but it's just... weird to see an A&M program consistently get pushed in on defense.
