This is the most interesting point to the whole season.

I can't imagine a scenario where Nick Saban would ever relinquish control of his defense to the DC. Where he'd step out and allow a staffer to design the plays, prep the game plan, and make quick in-game decisions.

It'd be hard as hell for a HC with a specific area of expertise who was once hailed as a "guru/genius" to take a hands off approach to their bread 'n butter specialty.

We'll see if Gus can change his spots and sit back and watch while your OC runs the show.
