Fred Corral is reportedly the hire. He was at UGA for 4 years and did a decent job there. It was a tough year for UGA but they had a strong final month going 8-3 on the back of solid pitching. They went 4-2 vs UK and State over that stretch.

I'll give him a chance but what concerns me:
1. Fired by a bad UGA team, though they did win the games you said, plus 2 of 3 against a down SC team.
2. Had a team ERA under 4.00 only once in his time there.
3. Last year, his pitchers were the worst in the SEC in terms of ERA.
Having said that, he does have some major league experience and seems to have done better at his previous stops, including at UT, Memphis and at OU with Golloway.
