What I said is common sense. It's not even debatable. We play Auburn and Arkansas and Bama and LSU and usually one or two big games from the East. They play Kansas and Kansas state and Tech and TCU and Oklahoma state and Baylor and West Virginia. They are desperate for another big game. We play at least 5 of them every year. Hence, we don't need the game, and they do need the game. That's not even debatable.
Yes, Herman is admitting the obvious here, but their fanbase is strongly opposed to the game, and they're too proud to come hat in hand and ask us nicely to please play them. And we're not interested in playing if they're not willing to show some fricking humility. Why should we? We don't need the game.

Texas definitely needs the game more than A&M does. I would puke if Alabama somehow ended up having to play the schedule Texas does due to pride and administrative incompetence.

You can bathe in the warm reflected glory of Alabama and LSU success, delude yourselves by pretending that you're actually their peer, and talk endless smack about how much better aggy is than Texas without having to actually prove it on the field. For aggy, it doesn't get much better.
