1997 win over #1 Florida
It's obviously up to LSU fans to decide their most iconic win, but a win over one of the few Spurrier teams not to win the East in the '90s doesn't strike me as "most iconic."

2000 OT win over Tennessee after losing to UAB the week before
Beating a Vols team that finished 8-4 a week after losing to UAB also strikes me as not that big of a deal.

2001 SECCG win over Tennessee
This I could see.
quote:
2003 BCS Championship win over Oklahoma
2005 stomping of Miami that they have never recovered from
2011 win over Oregon
The rules of the OP said it had to be an SEC game. All of these don't qualify.

2007 win over Florida
This was not one of Urban's better teams... they finished with 4 losses. And LSU's win came a week after the Gators had just lost at home to Auburn. So again, if you say so, but it doesn't strike me as very "iconic."
As much as LSU's fans continue to talk about their 9-6 win in Tuscaloosa, it seems strange to try to downplay it. It was #1 vs. #2 and LSU beat Saban in a Game of the Century in Bama's house. That's a big deal. I could maybe see the 2001 win over UT in Atlanta, but I still say its 9-6 as a complete outsider.

Florida had won 9 straight prior
Won 56-13 the year prior
Had a 25 game SEC win streak
Were HUGE favorites
Were #1 in the country entering the game.
LSU hadn't won a game of the magnitude since probably beating Alabama in 1993
I'm not sure it was the most "iconic" win when you take into consideration what LSU has accomplished since, but at the time and under those circumstances it is still one of the greatest wins in LSU history and still probably the best game I've ever attended in Tiger Stadium.
