I'm pretty sure he was referring to Lamar Jackson (the QB on the list) vs LSU

His final stat line was 10 for 27, 153 yds, no TDs. 26 carries for 33 yds.

Trying NOT to be a homer here... but those numbers in a bowl game, when you're the primary offensive option, should remove you from "best at position" consideration.

The prior year, LSU also lit up Texas Tech in a bowl, but Mahomes went 28/56 for 370 yds and 4 tds, 1 int.

Both bowl games, the teams were badly mismatched, and LSU sacked the crap out of both QBs. But Mahomes still put numbers up, while Jackson got dominated.
