Maybe put this in the OP then.


Edit: Kirby is 8-5 at UGA.
Ray Goff was 46-34 at UGA.
Gene Stallings went 27-45 at AM
Johnny Majors went 116-62-8 at UT
Shula went 26-23 at Bama
Shug Jordan went 175-83-7 at AU

Do bench warmers/occasional players count? For example, Spurrier and Fulmer were starters and probably some others were too but a lot of coaches were bench warmers who rarely played. These days I actually think it's more common for coaches to have just been on a team rather than playing a lot whereas 20 years ago a lot of the coaches started for their alma maters -- Fulmer, Majors, Spurrier etc..
