I don't think people realize how close Auburn was in every loss they had. Auburn was a pick 6 away for playing for the West title. Sean White has been at auburn as a starter for 2 years and hasn't made it to an iron bowl yet. Play calling and personnel was a major issue too! it literally took 5 games to get KP some touches, imagine him playing vs Clemson where he got 0 snaps or TAMU where he got limited snaps as well.

JS doesn't have to do much, he has the entire backfield from the #6 rushing attack in the country and a Oline with the 2nd most starts in the nation. On paper this might be the best Auburn team ive seen and yet if Gus can get his shite together Auburn can run the table to the playoff.

That's all well and good but you've got to get past Alabama and Georgia, which are much better teams than Auburn, top to bottom.

You might could run the table in the ACC this year.

That's a dangerous slope though. They got some breaks too.

They were also Les Miles clock management away from 6 losses and needed a 4th quarter interception to avoid possible OT with Vanderbilt.

If they get good QB play and the defense stays reliable they could be really good this season but their 2016 record was a pretty reasonable representation of the team they had last season.
