The players had the right to protest, but in hindsight it was not the right thing to do. Young kids today need to think more about what they are taking a stand on, instead of just jumping in every fray. If they don't, nobody will take them seriously in the future. Too many times of crying wolf.
As for GP, he was wrong in every aspect for diving into the fray. He needed to stay neutral. To this day, I still think the reason he resigned was from pressure from contributors to the program. His cancer was in remission the previous May.
That's about the only "right" thing Kim Anderson did during his time at Mizzou. He talked to his players about the situation, then let them decide if they wanted to join in. He stayed out of it!
