Hello Mizzou fans, I am new to the Rant scene i know im a Kentucky fan from Missouri but my family has been split down the middle with my dads side being from the Paducah Kentucky region and my mothers side being diehard Mizzou fans. I would like to thank you guys for the access to your board and hope to have some friendly discussions

Friendly discussions? You've already dissed MO crappie on the OTB. You'll find no such thing here. BTW, welcome!

Never insult Missouri fishing. You can bad mouth the football, basketball, and... if you do it carefully... baseball... but God help you if you bad mouth the fishing.
I say that as a joke, but having done some fishing in central Missouri it is great to fish up there. Way back when, before fire was invented, my Grandfather took me up to place in Mizzou to fish... somewhere between Columbia and St. Louis and we had a great trip.
Honestly I enjoy fishing in Missouri, Arkansas, and the Mid-South area to fishing on the coast down in Florida.
For one thing I don't have !&*@ing seagulls and pelicans lurking next to me all day long. And there is very little chance of a shark or gator eating my fish. Both which, I might say, did happen to me when I lived in Florida.

Arksulli ive caught some nice Crappie in Missouri i know they are out there it, blew my mind when i went to Mississippi caught 30 fish between a friend and i that were anywhere from 13-17 inches. When it comes to paddlefish I'll stick with Missouri though.

It could be, it was over 40 years ago and as a devoted Arkansas fan I've killed many brain cells since then in the aftermath of bad games.
I know that we had a better time there then when we went fishing just across the river from Helena, Arkansas and a cottonmouth fell into the boat.

I've been to Paducah a few times before. Nice area.

Its nice down there just an old river town with some history to it. The land between the lakes down the road is pretty neat as well.

Got a few relatives scattered in western KY. I love Kentucky Lake. My brother takes his boat over there sometimes. First roommate in college was from Paducah. He played football for Paducah Tilghman.
