This isn't trying to take away from what bama accomplished, it's rewarding LSU for their amazing season.


Jeez, I'm thinking that a lot of you guys have no idea how the BCS thing actually worked.

LSU WAS rewarded for exactly what they earned, which was an SEC championship ring. Fair and square, they did everything it took to put that ring on their hands.

But so did Alabama for their national championship ring, which was to win the final BCS national championship game. And they did so in a decisive fashion. Regardless about what your opinion is, there was a defined process in place and it was followed through to the final result.

Bama does not get a share of the SEC championship that year. LSU does not get a share of the national championship that year. I'm not so sure why this is seemingly so difficult for some of you to understand.

This is correct. The thing that most people forget is that the process that determined the BCS Champion is not the same as the process that determines the SEC Champion. If it were we would probably be arguing about something else...
