Virginia Tech used to play Dixie routinely as part of their patriotic tribute. UK and VPI used to play regularly and the Gobblers would play Dixie every time they came to Lexington.
They evolved to the Virginia Tech Hokies and dropped Dixie. Metallica's Enter Sandman now blares from the stadium and VT has had much more success.
