I do believe it would help, but Mizzou is a solid enough program that it wouldn't balance things out all that much. Is trading the #3 team in the West with the #4 team in the East really going to balance things out?

The real root of the SEC East's weakness is the fact that both Vandy and Kentucky reside in the same division. They are without a doubt the 2 weakest programs in the SEC, both historically and currently. That fact likely won't ever change. One of those two needs to move to the West.

If you put Auburn in the West and Vandy in the East, then you have balanced divisions.
