How do they plan to buck the system? You say AU bent over and took it for the league, but whate else could they have done differently? The wheels of progress and expansion were moving, I don't see how one program could've stood in the way.
The 1992 expansion caused them to lose the TN game, but were allowed to keep UF with the 2-1 (Traditional/rotation) opposite divisional schedule. Then the league office change that rule, so UF appeared less often. When the league went to 14 teams, AU will see them and TN even less. AU could have insisted on moving to the East in 2012 and it would have solved their scheduling problems. Having UF and UT back on the schedule would guarantee the need for expansion of JHS.

What would propose doing about the Iron Bowl because Bama doesn't want to give up the UT game?
