I don't think Mettenberger is a top five LSU quarterback, much less top two (Jones, Davey, Hodson, Russell, Wickersham, Risher, Flynn, Mauck, et al). Sure, he had some great stats one year, but he was surrounded by NFL skill players and more importantly, I can't think of a game he won that actually mattered.

We didn't win a national championship with any of those qbs you listed besides Flynn and Mauck so you can use the same argument for the rest of them that you did for mett... And Davey and Russell didn't have NFL players around him ?????? at least they had an o line Mett's o line ruined his knee and his NFL career
