Have thought about this and can't really decide if this helps or hurts us. We have lost some players to bigger schools late in the process, but on the other hand, have also flipped some players from smaller schools late as well.

I would think, though, that kids committed to non power 5 schools receiving power 5 interest would be more likely to hold off signing than kids already committed to power 5 schools.

Maybe minimally positive for us in the long run. More likely it won't have much of an effect one way or the other.

Thoughts?

I'm sure it's all a wash. Like you said, it will help us in some situations and hurt in others.

Probably doesn't do anything other than move the date schools have to have evaluations and offers out.
Instead of big schools plucking players in January, that will happen in late November and December.
It also may put pressure on schools firing and hiring coaches to move quicker.
