If you have a chance to potentially play football for a living, even if for a short period of time, you take it. The engineering stuff will be there when he is done.

I think it depends on position, and how much harm you are willing to do to your body
Low impact position like QB sure you go, but this kid has one of the highest opportunity cost in league
