That was before the injuries. Had you told us that Cam, JRM, DKjr, Hall and others would be out for the season (or 90 percent of it) no one would've mentioned Atlanta. Even if we'd known that the OL would become a game of musical chairs I think a lot of folks would've adjusted expectations.

Even so we should've made Atlanta which is why so many have a righteous anger towards Butch.

BS. Y'all weren't the only team hit by injuries, you know. We were stuck with a backup QB named Applesauce who couldn't even start at Purdue. We were missing EIGHT defensive starters in the LSU game and still got the job done.

Lol user Korin is still REELING due to Mr. Ed blowing a 21 point lead to Lyle Jones and now he's losing all teh Muschamp recruits which made him successful.

Dark times ahead in Gainesville imo

You're right but ours were fatal and Cam, JRM, and DKjr were the main reason folks thought we'd go to Atlanta. Getting JRM and Cam back for their senior years was supposed to push us over the top. Then we had the LB and OL situation. I understand what you're saying but whet we had was unprecedented (we had 27 different starters on defense alone and the injuries to backups were killer.

He was better than Del Rio and did pretty well in Mac's system, imo.

See above. I honestly lost count regarding the injuries because it was that ridiculous and effected both sides of the ball. We didn't have a single starter on OL against BAMA and we lost every single one of our DTs. At LB even the backups were injured and the ones behind them were dreadful. We had to change to a 4-2-5 knowing it was a bad scheme for our opponents and we had to play DEs at DT. We only had TWO players that started every game on defense.

It was a clusterfrick and one that I hope was partially born from S&C since we have a new one who by most accounts is pretty good.

Now I'll say this much... we still should've beaten SC and Vandy. *But* if you go back and look at our stats you'll see that we were forced to play Big 12 ball for several games -- our only hope was outscoring the opponent. Our defense ranked in the 90s. We simply reached critical mass on the injury front -- too many noobs trying to line up other noobs and not enough time to fix that.

However, give Vandy credit. They were riding high off SEC wins and they ALWAYS want it more than us. We seriously need to relearn that old hate and want.
