You mean like Bama, LSU, OSU, Oklahoma, USC, Clemson, Auburn, FSU and Oregon do?

Bama, LSU, OSU, USC, Auburn, Oregon all have rivals that are in conference. They intentionally schedule 1 decent game out of conference with three cupcakes for their other three out of conf games.

Because Georgia has Georgia Tech out of conference every year, we still usually schedule 1 of our remaining 3 games with another good opponent like UNC or Notre Dame or Clemson. Normally, UGA only plays two cupcakes while everyone else in the world plays at least three.

So in 2018 we are playing 3 cupcakes instead of two, which puts us on par with what most other respectable teams do.

So shut your pie hole.

Of course you are correct.

However I do like the neutral big games , it clearly helps in recruiting to be on that stage and I hope UGA does it more.

But to make the playing field level the NCAA or at least the SEC , should mandate scheduling of a min of 2 p5 OOC and 8 Conf games or 1 P5 OOC and 9 conf games. Also NO fcs games allowed, the other 2 money games have to be G5 teams.

I'm on the fence on this one

Bama & Auburn have a tougher schedule to start because they don't have Vandy & Kentucky built into the sched every year - based on that, we should try to add a 2nd decent OOC game every year

Yes, I know that Vandy & Kentucky have decent years, but typically at least one of those counts as a "cupcake"

And don't get me wrong, I respect Tech's program & know they beat us last year, but the Yellow Jackets are not usually a "top tier" OOC opponent

I like have ND on the sched & would love to see us play a few more "home & homes" with the Oklahoma's & Michigans of the world
