Funny,

I've always thought Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Baylor, West Virginia, TCU, have all had successful QBs because they play against shite defenses all year, rather than them all recruiting great QBs every year.

If you go back to 2012 and look at all the occasions in which a Big 12 team with a Top 50 Passing Offense played against an SEC team with a Top 50 defense, it results in 9 total games:

2012 Texas vs. Ole Miss
2013 Oklahoma St. vs. Mississippi St.
2014 West Virginia vs. Alabama
2014 Texas Tech vs. Arkansas
2014 TCU vs. Ole Miss
2015 Texas Tech vs. LSU
2015 Oklahoma vs. Tennessee
2016 Oklahoma vs. Auburn
2016 TCU vs. Georgia

In those 9 games, the Big 12 QB had the following average statistics:

Completions: 207
Attempts: 335
Completion Percentage: 61.8%
Yards per Game: 259.3
Touchdowns per Game: 2.6
Interceptions per Game: 0.9
QB Rating: 138.2

Those are pretty solid statistics considering their SEC opponents had an average Total Defense ranking of #23 each time.

Which proves why in my mind, the Big 12 has very good Quarterbacks.... they just lack quality linemen, IMO. On both sides of the ball for that matter.

Does Oklahoma v Bama in 2013 not count? Could've sworn Oklahoma had a good passing offense the whole year not just against Bama.
