The BYU-LSU game will be interesting to watch. The key will be LSU's inexperienced, undersized and suspect front seven vs BYU's OL composed of huge 27-year old mean grown men.

Overstated, but not totally wrong. LSU's linebackers are relatively young, but White and Divinity played a lot last year. Alexander is undersized, but he has added weight. Plus we return sixth year senior Thompson to back up Divinity, and we add two very talented freshmen in Phillips and Taylor who will play a lot from game 1.

But the point about BYU's offensive line is correct. I tracked down this Athlon article:

quote:

The offensive line has the potential to be the Cougars’ best since becoming an independent in 2011. The roster boasts 15 scholarship athletes along the offensive line, which is music to Sitake’s ears. Last year, BYU only had seven offensive linemen during the spring, which impacted not only what Sitake and his staff were able to do but also how they approached the spring game. Numbers shouldn’t be a problem this year.

BYU Spring Preview

But if you read the article, you will also learn that BYU lost most of its offensive production from last year's 9-win team. QB, RB, three WRs... these guys accounting for like 90% of their yards and points last year.

So, BYU will have its own issues to deal with, especially with a new QB and new WRs. I would hate to try and work those issues out against LSU's secondary. I don't even care if their offensive coordinator won the Heisman.

Donte Jackson, Kevin Toliver, Saivion Smith, John Battle, Ed Paris, Eric Monroe, Xavier Lewis, Cam Lewis, Kristian Fulton, Greedy Williams, Jacoby Stevens, Grant Delpit, Kary Vincent, Todd Harris.

LSU has DBs for days. LSU is DBU. Good luck BYU.
