GDOT says it will take at least several months to rebuild I-85. They will have to repair nearly 700 ft. northbound and southbound.

I am completely and utterly ignorant on this kind of thing, but why will it take that long? I'm sure there is A LOT that goes into this kinda thing, but with companies devoting everything they have to get this done (which I imagine would be the case) it seems like it would only take a few weeks. You've got to rebuild the columns, lay the foundation, add the actual road...but why is that a 4-6 month process?
