WM should've been fired after GSU but for an offensive "guru" who said he could win with his dog to not find a QB, to be 4-7 vs the top 25, finish behind the guy that just got fired who was at his New school starting a offense full of fr and NTX, UMass even ULL in total offense, who had the least amount of rushing yards in over a decade and has yet to field an offense above the 100s and has signed 55% 3*s making him the worst UF recruiter in the rankings era. All you have is he won the East and all he needs is a QB. All the data points show Mac isn't cutting it here. Just look at his recent staff hires:

Seider-Great hire
Davis-2 years fbs coaching
Bell- 2 years fbs coaching

That doesn't look bad until you realize:

Callahan- 2 years fbs coaching. Fired.
Nuss-3 straight years of offenses in the 100s.

Nord- awful. Hasn't landed a recruit since 2015.

Summers. Retained. OL sucked his entire tenure. Left for UL.

Collins avg DC out coached where talent was equal average recruiter.left for Temple

RS- hasn't been a DC in over a decade. Average recruiter given his connections.

Dixon-good coach and recruiter

Rumph- average coach and recruiter

Skipper- the best coach and recruiter on staff at this point.

Mac is worse overall HC than WM overall and winning the east was a fluke like WM making the bcs. They're records against the top 25, offenses and defenses are almost the complete same except WM faced a harder East.
