'Impressive' Alabama creating offseason buzz

quote:

One word came to mind after he watched the Tide during an offseason workout. "Impressive," said Retin Obasohan. "They look fast. They look athletic. They look sharp."

More "freedom" offensively this year
quote:

Offensively, our team is going to have a lot more freedom," Johnson said on Tuesday. "Sometimes, we've been too structured and too stale, but we'll have a lot more freedom and a lot more reads so we won't be so easily scout-able."

Avery: More "freedom" coming on the offensive end

This is worth reading. Has a lot of info about the new guys and returning players. Avery even said he let the freshmen play a game against the returning guys for about 30 minutes.

The kids at camp got to watch about an hour of the current and former players scrimmage earlier this week. My 12 year old could not quit talking about Sexton and how good he is. Said Retin tried to guard him but Sexton got where ever he wanted whenever he wanted. Also said the kid from Ohio State was a completely different big than what we are used to. Said he was skilled as far as ball handling and passing and had a good shot.
My son said Lawson held his own in the workout, and made everything he threw up. and he said Dazon's shot looked better.

Dante might have bulked up some, but it didn't show with him just walking around. But when your that dang tall, adding 20 pounds doesn't show much change.
