quote:The bullpen is probably the strongest part of the team right now. Outside of Stokes, you aren't going to see anyone that overpowers hitters. Pagnozzi, Woolfolk, and Green are the three returners that will eat a lot innings on the back end. They locate really well and pitch efficiently.
For any OM fans (I casually follow them after 3 years of grad school there), what's the pitching staff look like? Who is really good? Any flamethrowers out of the pin? Impact freshman?
I still don't have a ton of confidence in the rotation. Parkinson (Fri) moved to the rotation from the bullpen last season out of necessity. He's good but not the same caliber as other Friday starters in the SEC (the SEC is loaded there this year). McArthur (Sat) is a soph with a ton of potential, but he's been inconsistent in the past. Feigl (Sun) is a soph and probably has the best "stuff" of the starters, but he's 2 years removed from TJ's surgery and hasn't had a chance to show himself as a starter.
As for the freshmen, Will Ethridge, Ryan Rolison, and Greer Holston are the big names. They'll all be starters eventually, but not this season. Rolison has the highest upside, but Ethridge is better currently. I expect Ethridge to be announced as the midweek starter this week and Rolison and Holston to help in the pen. I think Holston will probably be #5 in the extra midweek games.

Good to know. Sounds like OM is lacking "that guy" like an Alex Lange.
