The whole NCAA investigation & APR issue (with loss of schollys) was 600 lb elephant in the room; this was certainly a much bigger problem than people realize.
IF a top notch HC came in NOW with all these issues behind us, then I'm inclined to agree with you.

Where are your hearing about APR issues?
The NCAA sanctions end this year.
I doubt the tutor situation results in anything more than some vacated wins. Notre Dame and North Carolina had much bigger academic scandals and got basically no punishment.
The only thing that could hold Mizzou back under a new coach is recruiting. Which any coach that Mizzou should hire, won't have an issue with.
