This NOT on the previous coaching staff...they spent almost his entire frosh r/s season trying to get him to stop his windmill delivery style. I could plainly see from high school videos, his first spring game that he was way way too emotional and excitable. The only thing the previous staff was guilty of was starting him game one. He had never taken a college snap before and I knew the moment was too big for him. They waited too long to bench him imo.

It is and it isn't to some degree. They should have went with option 2 a lot earlier -- and not given up on Del Rio so quickly.

That being said: You can't blame the coaching staff that had him for two years for doing mistakes you learn not to do in Peewee leagues.

I'm happy about having either Corral or Trask start next year and hopefully we can get a very highly recruited player in two/three years to back them up, or even a diamond in the rough.

Franks won't start again, I don't think.

Abolverdi: The Gators are in good shape with Corral, but they still have some work to do before the early signing period.

He officially visited Ole Miss last weekend and I’m told the Rebels made a strong impression on him and his family. Their staff has been consistent and honest with their recruitment of Corral, and his skill set is better suited for Mississippi’s offense.

Corral is still committed to Florida and that’s where he wants to end up. However, he needs to form a relationship with Gators coach Dan Mullen and quarterback coach Brian Johnson and get a better understanding for how he will be used in their scheme.

Corral’s in-home visit with them was a positive step in that direction, but his trip to UF this weekend could make or break his commitment. He has a bond with the Ole Miss coaches and fits what they do offensively. That must be established with Florida as well.
