Assuming the second Gus is Rhett? I'm largely in agreement here with you. Additionally, if there is concern that Gus is still on the hot seat going into next season, this is the time to disassociate.

Yeah sorry, mental slip apparently.
But yeah, it's really mutually beneficial for all parties involved for Rhett to move on. Most of us expected it last year tbh
