with this recruiting class in '17. The most talented roster BY FAR in 15 years. No excuses at all for KS in '17

The Oline was the problem and until we get a true LT it will stay as such, at least from preventing us from being elite in the trenches. How many times did Catalina get beat? Kubs would get pushed back in the pocket a lot as well. Sure they played good at times and looked horrible at other times. Throw in a true freshman qb and its not a good recipe for success.

We are losing a few guys from that Oline and it would be hard to count on true freshman (in coming class) to start and do well in the SEC. It can be done and hopefully I Wilson or A Thomas will be that guy for us, plus we have that JUCO kid as well. If the Oline doesn't make improvements from last season, we could 'shite the bed' against the good/great teams. However, I think in '18 and moving forward we won't have to worry about the Oline woes anymore. Also if Eason can make take the next step, his play could help hide these problems.

There's enough incoming talent to be very good on the O-line and absolutly enough there to compete and win the SECE. We finished top 5 in '12 with Theus as our starting
LT. Once again,Clemson got there last year with 5 new starters on the O-line and Bama,
Michigan,Ohio State and UF all started true Freshmen. You can do it and compete at a high level if our coaches can put them in a posistion to succed

Never said they were an overly talented group but there was a HUGE difference in their
performance from the Nichols State/Vandy games compared to the last 4 games and it wasn't about consistency. It had much more to with blocking schemes and recognizing
the skill set of the O'lineman and what they can or cannot do.

Just the sheer talent and size difference of the Richt era:

2016 OL group
Isaiah Wynn
6-2 280
Lamont Gaillard
6-2 300
Tyler Catalina
6-6 315
Brandon Kublanow
6-2 290

vs.

2017 incoming freshmen and RS freshmen
Ben Cleveland
6-6 340
Solomon Kindley
6-4 335
D'Marcus Hayes
6-6 320
Isaiah Wilson
6-7 350
Andrew Thomas
6-5 330
Netori Johnson
6-3 345
Justin Shaffer
6-5 355

Maybe they put it together faster in 2017 or by 2019. All I know is you are not going through that wall easily like they did in 2016.

2018 should be a great year for OL and DL but you lose many seniors and potential juniors:

Seniors
Dominick Sanders
Nick Chubb
Sony Michel
Lo Carter
Malkom Parish
Davim Bellamy
Aaron Davis
Reggie Carter
Dyshon Sims
Isaiah Wynn
John Atkins

Juniors
Roquan Smith
Trent Thompson
Natrez Patrick
