Be real, if LSU hadn't bitched about coming to the Swamp we would've played the Presbyterian game, had a 9-3 regular season, and the bowl win would have been a 10 win season.

When I referenced competing with Bama and FSU, I was saying that that is what we need to do next. We've won a lot of games under Mac so far, he's done a lot of good things for our program so far, and the next thing he needs to do to get over the hump is compete with Alabama and FSU on the field. If I said it, i misworded it, I meant that the next thing Mac needs to accomplish is competing with the elite programs we see regularly- FSU and Alabama. Recruiting also obviously has to improve, but I think we're seeing a strong close to this class and that should bode well moving into next season and next recruiting cycle.

You dont go from being what we were before Mac got here offensively to competing with established programs in 2 years.

Look at the OL then and now
The WR corps
Backfield
QBs

Much improved

If we end up with a Top 5 class all criticisms of Mac's recruiting go out the window. That's what you mean by closing strong right? At the very least Top 10? Because otherwise it's not closing strong.

In fairness to Mac, we shouldn't expect a guy to be able to repeat his "bump class" high repeatedly I mean #12 is pretty strong can't expect a guy to get inside the top 15 multiple times without a national title.
