Fair, I guess I just saw one of our highest in the last few years and thought it was better.

God, looking at our raw stats, even the things we think we're good at are mediocre at best compared to the rest of the conference, much less nationally.

Our leading rusher was 14th in the SEC right behind Alabama's QB, our combined Passer line is 2800 or so yards 18 TDs 15 INTs. Even Callaway- the one skill position guy I think is legitimately all-conference level wasn't that great statistically:

54 catches for 721 Yards and 3 TDs- that's a good 3rd or 4th WR on a quality passing offense. (That isn't hyperbole- other than about 150-200 yards that's Jamalle Cornelius's line from our 2006 offense).

Get outta here with those facts. Those stats are all because of not having a QB.

Or a coach the knows how to work to his teams strengths and minimizing it's weaknesses. Mac is an average coach and recruiter his results on the field and in recruiting show that to be the case. We scraped by with Will Grier, LDR, Treon, AA and we'll get pummeled this year because there's no elite defense or coaches to bail us out when the offense struggles and it will struggle just like the last 2 years. There's a reason RS didn't get a high level DC job after Miami and hasn't been one in a decade. Elite talent can mask average coaching. That's what we have in this coaching staff and a lot of players Average. Anyone paying attention can see we're 2-3 Elite classes away stocked with talent on both sides of the ball and adequate balance.
