Why don't they wait till the end of the season to award the Heisman?

There's no reason to award it early and vote before seeing what is frequently the biggest test of the year for the candidates. Makes no sense.

I know, the Heisman doesn't matter, but still. If Clemson can beat Bama, it's hard to say that Jackson deserves the award over Watson. Jackson just collapsed down the stretch after racking up big numbers early.

I disagree. Would make it even more tempting to just give it to the best player on the championship team

Why don't we just eliminate the Heisman? Today's generation doesn't give a shite....well, hell, today's generation doesn't give a shite about anything......
