Doesn't matter whether it's legal or a part of the game. It's dirty as hell and causes a lot of injuries, serious injuries. Diving at someone's knees should be made illegal. If you can't block someone straight up, get the hell out of here. Tech could be called for half a dozen chop blocks a game, and they are illegal. They usually are called for one or two chop blocks a game.
