I have the Heyward XL.
He's been pumping along for 5 years now. His handle broke, but I've only had to replace the feet and fins. Everything else has been A+, it's more than paid for itself at this point.
Also, frick Leslie's. Find a local guy, they will always try to beat Leslie's and they usually won't try to upsell you on bullshite products/chemicals you don't need.

I could save y'all a lot of money on pool chemicals.
Go to a agriculture chemical supply like CPS or Helena, but a 50 lb bag of copper sulfate crystals for around 85 dollars.
Put a couple scoops of it in your pool, the next day it'll be crystal clear. I've done this when a pool was green and it cleared it all up. Didn't have to even scrub the walls.
Repeat every couple weeks. You won't need to do anything else. Don't swim in it for a day or 2 after treatment, the copper can burn your skin. Let the potency subside a bit
