I was at the game at MSG on Monday night (yes, I know I'm a few days late posting) but despite the loss I can respect the effort. Seton Hall fans (who I now consider unbearable...they did't like my "you couldn't get into Rutgers" chant) were the vocal majority but we had our fans too. Defensively we played hard all game. You call tell we're 7 men deep at best though and needed an 8th man (Sin) down the stretch on offense.
I'll just leave it at that felt like a tournament game (despite never attending one) and it was fun to see our boys feed off the fans we had in such a historic environment. The next week will be telling until the suspension comes off, but I LOVE our core and have absolute faith in the players Frank is bringing in.
Shoutout to the NYC Gamecock Club for hosting a great pregame at Mason Jar in Midtown.

who I now consider unbearable..
I actually found fans sitting behind me unbearable.
And they were our own.
Chanting SEC at a basketball game with a school that couldn't care less. Looked like the guys from Dude Perfect.
From my seat thought it was about 50/50, The Garden wasn't packed but both fans got loud at certain times in the game.
Did you go tot he first game as well?
I was completely shocked by the amount of Auburn Fans. That game was basically an Auburn home game. It got really loud at the end, then quiet after BC won.
They outnumbered all the fans at this "Reunion" combined.
shite then again I think I saw 5 BC Fans.

The wife and I may be up there in February and we're coming by for a game hopefully.
I've been to a half dozen games at The Garden over the years and they are always memorable.
Sat right in front of Bill Murray at The Garden for one of our games - you just never know who you'll see there.
I agree, Martin is turning out to be a really solid coach. He may get us to the promised land ... get us further along than even the man himself, Frank McGuire.

That's too bad. I'm glad you said "fans" plural so I wasn't the guilty culprit since I was cheering solo! I also didn't hear that chat...embarrassing. On the way out I stopped and chatted with the 4-5 Seton Hall fans who were heckling me back and telling me to sit down after we scored. They acknowledged it was a hard fought game and said if you don't have thick skin, Big East basketball isn't for you.
I caught the end of the first game. I'm with you--stunned how many Auburn fans were in attendance. Maybe the early time slot helped them...but still a solid turnout on their end. A decent chunk in my section stayed for the first half of our game and told me they were cheering for us.
Being a BC alum (in the athletic and non-academic sense) must be miserable. I remember when their basketball team was getting a 4-7 seed in the tournament regularly and they had Matt Ryan under center a decade ago...now, not so much.

I know a few here.
They are huge BC Hockey fans. They do very well in that, and College Hockey is a lot of fun to watch.
Sure they enjoy football and basketball but Hockey takes the cake for them.
They also happened to be from the New England Area where their pro football and basketball teams dominate so they really don't need college in that sense.
