How good we were last year with just a decent QB.
Ole Miss was a good team last year, idgaf what anyone says, and we thumped them. Also, the way we came back and beat UT. Bad teams don't do what we did last year before Grier got busted. don't get me wrong, he was no world beater by any means, and that's actually a good thing. I'd argue that with the exception of QB and maybe, mayyyybe TE, every other offensive position was better this year than last year from a personnel standpoint.
Also, not for nothing, but Mac has pulled rabbits out of his hat 2 years in a row recruiting, let's givie it til NSD before we eat the guy alive, there may be a few surprises

Exactly, Will Grier had some games where even Danny Wuerffel said he looked like another #7 out there.
After that the QBs have been less than avg at best. LDR and Applebe couldnt win at other schools either so thats not on Mac,and Treon was just a nightmare

At what point does it become Mac's fault that UF doesn't have a QB?

When we find out if Franks or Trask can play or not, since, you know, those are the guys he evaluated, identified, and recruited and aren't supposed to be bandaids like LDR and Appleby

If we don't have a serviceable Qb next year, he will be coaching for his job in 2018, but there's no way I see him being fired before then.

The problem is he recruited them as well. It's either boom or bust with Franks or Trask.
