No one remembers him, but Woody Widehofer.

His record was 15-40, and I believe he holds the notorious distinction of being the only coach to go 4+ years in the SEC without a bowl game.

Dooley was not the worst, by any definition.

Dooley was the absolute worst.

I can't even begin to describe the feeling of hopelessness regarding UT football during those years.

Not my favorite, but Woody wasn't even the worst Vandy coach over that stretch.

Dowhower went 4-18 in his two years (1-15 in the SEC), while the Turkey Inseminator put up a 2-10 record in his only year. Hell, Woody was a genius next to those two...

12-31-1 at Mizzou in the 80s, then 15-40 at Vandy. Yikes
