Trask and Franks were the only quarterbacks brought in by Mac out of high school. The transfers we brought in were solely for depth purposes and because the depth was so bad and because of a couple of guys getting busted with steroids or staying in trouble, they were forced to play this year. It sucks but it's the way it is.
And who wouldn't wish for Meyer?! He's the second best coach in the country. Of course we'd all love Meyer back.
Watch the first quarter yesterday. The defense gave up -7 yards. If we have a competent quarterback, the score after the first quarter is 14-0 Florida. Instead, it was 16-9 Bama. You can say all the shite you want and it can be wrong, but the fact is that this offensive scheme was good enough to win yesterday. Appleby just wasn't capable of executing.

Ill say it now, IF Will doesnt piss hot we beat LSU last year, beat FSU last year and possibly this year. We beat Tenn this season And might have taken Bama to the wire.
All of those games are different with a QB who can hit open WRs

We only gave up -7 yards in the first quarter because they only had the ball for 2 1/2 minutes. One drive starting on our own 13. But I agree the offensive scheme was good enough to compete but still think we would've lost by 2 TD's. Too big of a talent disparity and depth. A lot of the special teams problems were due to missed tackles and depth. We couldn't run the ball at all. Even our reverses were sniffed out and the Bama speed was too fast on the ends. I didn't like the powell flats play after play we were getting open downfield and I lost confidence in the team to convert a short 3rd down last week. Either way it is what it is move forward and recruit well and win the bowl game and on to next year.
