We've done stupid contracts with the last 2 ADs, probably the ones prior as well.
Seems to be a problem on a institutional level.

Last three.
The Slocum 7-year guaranteed extension happened under Groff's watch (1998)
The Franchione 6-year guaranteed extension happened under Byrne's watch (2004)
The Sherman 6-year guaranteed contract happened under Byrne's watch (2008)
The Sumlin 6-year guaranteed extension happened under Hyman's watch (2013)
So far, none of those coaches made it to year 5 of that contract/extension.
