Makes sense. Hugh's offensive plan is to run as many plays as he can. Defense as a result is on the field a shite ton, smart teams are going to run the ball as much as they can in that situation.
My concern in your shoes is whether or not it can be fixed without a complete overhaul to the offensive system as well. Defenses can't hold up to being on the field that much, it's honestly amazing to me that the 2014 defense was as good as it was.

I've been watching Ole Miss for the last 35 years and I've never seen a more shittier defense than what Ole Miss trotted out there this year.
You could literally pick 11 kids out of the student section who would have had more heart and stood a better chance of stopping an offense...

The offense had nothing do with it. Ole Miss played 10 different people at LB trying to find someone to stick it out and they couldn't find anything.
