Yes, but UT lost the East today. So, 2013 is officially avenged.

That makes me happy.

But I feel safe in this game because we're running it down their throats.

It looked like they had kid gloves on until that goal line stand, but as long as we keep scoring they won't catch up

Edit: Anyone else think this wind is messing with our passing game?

Offense came to play, and produced like I expected they would overall - but I expected more balance between the passing and running game, not just all the rushing yds. But props to Rico for his game: he's legit all the way. AJ almost had a 100-yd rushing game too....

The defense deserves very little praise however IMO. Played like the 2014 & '15 defenses today. They weren't prepared to play today at all....

My thoughts:

Western has sucked at stopping the run all year. We put a lot of rushing plays into our game plan.

Rico went for 225 yds rushing, best FR RB performance since Lattimore's '10 year. He got many extra yards after contact. AJ Turner also had a great game running the ball (almost 100 yds on limited carries.) I thought Turner's injury 2 weeks ago was going to be worse than it was. Bentley ran the ball well too. He's no Shaw running the ball, but he can move and will take advantage of open space when it's there.

Bently and the receivers made some plays when we needed them, but it was never really int he game plan to pass a lot.

Our defense played awful, they know that. We have to do a lot better against this upstate dual threat QB next week. We need more speed at the LB and S positions to limit dual threat QBs. King had his worst game of the year. I just felt like the effort wasn't there.

We recovered another turnover, and didn't turn the ball over ourselves. So that was good.

Deebo's KR TD was awesome, and I'm glad to see we can do that. However our Spec Team Defense was horrendous tonight. Fry was on point and keeps building his stats.

Deebo is hard to bring down, he's not just fast, he's strong. He can break tackles.

Our OL had their best game of the year, but that had a lot to do with the gameplan. Bentley didn't have to drop back and wait 4+ seconds to pass the ball on a 10+ yd play. We were picking up 6-8 yds on 1st and 2nd Downs running the ball. They did great in run blocking against a defense they outwieghed by 50 lbs a person.

We will need to do A LOT better than that to beat that team from the upstate next week. I'm hoping that our defense played so bad this week b/c they spent the previous week looking ahead at the tater offense.

Our OLine outweighed their DLine by an average of 53 PDs per man.

The teams were tied 1-1 in turnovers. Dowdle lost a fumble in the 1st quarter....
