KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee returned a pair of heralded captains last Saturday against Kentucky, but the Volunteer injury situation remains muddled heading into another pivotal conference game.
Starting offensive linemen Dylan Wiesman, who started at center against the Wildcats before leaving with an ankle injury, and right tackle Chance Hall, who did not play after re-aggravating his knee against Tennessee Tech, are both “questionable” to play against Missouri, per coach Butch Jones on Wednesday.
“They’re going to try to practice today. I’d say they’re questionable right now,” Jones said.
“I’ll know a little bit more today.”
In practice Tuesday, Tennessee repped Jack Jones at center but the first-man unit (L-R) was Drew Richmond, Jashon Robertson, Coleman Thomas, Venzell Boulware and Brett Kendrick.
Meanwhile, junior safety Todd Kelly Jr. is doubtful against Missouri after injuring his ankle in the second half against Kentucky. Kelly leads with team in tackles with 67, adding 2 interceptions and a forced fumble as well.
“We’ll see right now with TK,” Jones said.
“But he’s behind (Wiesman and Hall) individuals.”
If Kelly can’t go, sophomore Stephen Griffin, who forced a goal line fumble last week, could earn his first-career start Saturday. It would be the ninth different starting combination in the secondary this season for Tennessee.
Griffin has had a great week of practice so far, Jones said.

We don't have enough players to have a 3rd team

I feel you. The worst part about losing to MTSU, wasnt losing to MTSU. It was losing 2 starters on D for the rest of the year.
