quite simple

ample options were given to florida to play that sunday or monday in florida, even with lsu agreeing to fly in and out on the same day as to not take hotels from potential evacuess. florida waited so long to do anything, it forced the SEC to cancel, then postpone. which worked out perfectly for a beat up florida team.

at that point, lsu was fine not playing it. why should we? florida showed no interest in playing it, when multiple games were played in florida that weekend, so, we moved on.

then everyone else started bitching about well if florida makes the SECCG, or now they're not even qualified etc, so the game had to be played.

the only weekend that worked for both came on this weekend, and LSU simply said we are playing a home game on 11/19, regardless the opponent. we had to refund money for a home game last year because of a stupid lightening storm, BR took a massive hit this summer, and LSU said the BR economy will benefit from a home game on 11/19.......and the SEC said OK, forida you're going there.

and now florida is coming here.......beat the hell up.....that's how its a home game for LSU....and florida will get 2 years at home in return.

had florida just said fine, we'll play sunday or monday (lsu played tenn on monday in 2005 after the 2nd major storm hit Lousiana) we wouldn't be where we are today. thank florida.
