Okay. Ignore the link earlier I posted where a division 2 school beat the fricking phillies 6-2

You realize the minors is still professional baseball right? No one jumps straight to the majors, no one. Florida had two first round pitchers on their staff last year, not many A ball squads can say the same

This is not some hypothetical like a football exhibition. Pros scrimmage college teams all the time

I recall that game and it was full of young players and non roster invitees. It's laughable to even insinuate the actual phillies lost to a college team. Esp a D2 team. Come on.

If you're counting he minors then I agree with you. But I'm pretty sure we both know what the OP meant.

Not an exhibition game vs a bunch of rookies and non roster invitees. A real game with actual players who play for the major league team.

Can you post some more examples? That would certainly help with the argument.

I'm aware. But we aren't talking about a scrimmage are we? OP is talking about an actual game vs the actual players who play for that team.

I'll ask another way: do you think that D2 team would have a chance vs the phillies starting roster? Because that's what OP is asking.
